Tie a little knot at the very end of your string so it keeps it from fraying. DMC also sells a kind called Pearl cotton which doesn’t unravel as easily.

It might seem counterintuitive, but you could try some DMC off brands like Airo. Polyester threads stay together better than cotton, maybe you'll prefer those.DMC also has a twisted type of thread called DMC Coton Perlé that doesn't fray. I also tried DMC Soft Cotton (a.k.a DMC Retors Mat) for knotting bracelets. It's great, but a little thicker. |

I’ve never had a problem with dmc unraveling. There’s a type of dmc that is shiny (I can’t remember what it’s called) and I tried using that kind once and it unraveled so bad. But the normal dmc threads shouldn’t unravel

I order from Amazon! I’ve gotten “Athenas Elements” brand and I really enjoy it.
