Purely because of how they are made, forward knots WILL look a little different than backward knots, so don’t worry about that. Many people whose first bracelet was a candy stripe have that problem, like me. The best solution for this would just be practicing your backward knots until you are happy with them. Lmk if this helps.

Practicing definitely makes a difference!! Making a chevron ( pattern #2 ) will help you practice them consistently since it’s a pretty simple bracelet. Don’t worry if they look a little weird at first, especially if you’re used to making forward knots. Practice makes better :3

@DanceKnotz I agree I started out with so many candy stripes that now even 5+ year later my forward knots look better than my backwards

I started with candy stripe and it took me like a year to figure out how to do backwards knots for chevron. Now anytime I teach somebody I make them start with chevron.
