I'm a beginner who doesn't understand the instructions at all. These arrows... Could someone explain to me what this is about?

Hey! There are two types of patterns, normals and alphas. Tbh, idk how to make alphas, but normals are easier to knot. If the arrow is point down to the right, its called a forwards knot. Down to the left is a backwards knot. If it is kinda bent in half, its either forwards-backwards or backwards-forwards. The way you can tell what knot it is, is if it points down to the left after the bend, it is forwards-backwards. If it points to the right after the bend, it is a backwards-forwards knot. https://www.braceletbook.com/tutorials/8_bracelet-knots/ that is the tutorial for all the different knots, and how to make them. Hope this helps!
