how to add on to your string??

So rn I’m braiding this normal bracelet but one of the strings isn’t long enough and I need it to be longer. Is there a way to add more rope without dealing with any bumps???

What sort of pattern and where in the process are you? You could also watch masha knots's changing colors in a normal pattern video on youtubethats how I found out how to replace string if it is too short and if you've made alphas before it is basically the same just don't drag the string through
