Even alpha patterns

One problem I encounter with my alphas is that each knot isn’t perfectly square and the pattern ends up looking sort of elongate and stretched . My knots are taller up and down and shorter left to right. Does anyone have advice for having more even/square knots?

This is a very common issue with alpha patterns! I haven’t tried this myself, but I’ve seen many people suggest doubling your base strings to fix this issue.

this is an issue that will happen with most, if not all alpha bracelets, this occurs due to the way the knot is made. it is not possible to make a perfectly square knot, but using the flat alpha technique usually makes the knots i bit more elongated, though without the technique your bracelets will be bumpier. there may be ways that i am unaware of but i hope this helps! ❤️
