Hi I’m very very new to making these types of bracelets and I keep getting frustrated by my string slipping out of the tape when it’s taped down on the table. What else can I do to make it stay put?

A binderclip! It's more secure and less wasteful than tape.

I use double-sided tape underneath + the usual tape over. The bracelet is very well secured this way.

I like to use a safety pin to clip my bracelet into a pillow or blanket while I'm knotting!

I've been putting mine in between the lid and the base of the lid box that i store my thread and snapping the closure to hold the lid down.

I use a clipboard. Or if the clipboard isn’t working well for me, I use a binder clip on a hard covered book.

I use my hand, I hold the bracelets between my index and middle finger and use my ring finger and thumb and my other hand to knot (I change the hand I’m holding it depending on the direction of the knot, so forward is left hand and backward knot is right hand and I change hands between bf and fb knots) I feel it’s pretty secure and lets me make bracelets anywhere
