Hey so this is my first time doing alphas and it has been going great except on two of my base strings when I tie my string around them or try to tie it too tight then start coming down out of the tape now I’m finally on row eight and it has gotten long enough but any ideas on how to prevent it in the future? Or if it starts happening again in my alpha? 🤔 ❤️

It can help to put some extra tape sticky side up under the strings and then another piece on tape on top to sandwich the strings and make them less likely to slide. You could also use stronger tape or use binder clips instead.

@guslover12 I put a couple of layers of tape on my base strings when I start alphas and typically try to push to make sure it sticks. But I’ve also heard people who clamp the top of a clipboard over base strings and that works for them too!

I just struggle my way trough the first few rows until its long enough to put the tape over the knots themselves and then everything goes alright
