Well, first of all, thank you for this wonderful site. As a beginner, I've noticed that the sides of my bracelets aren't completely straight all the way through, like I see in some photos. Any tips for correcting this? Thanks 😘 I'm not fluent in english sorry if I made mistakes |

In addition to that, I recommend securing the bracelet in a way that it can't move around a lot while tying. Move the point where you secure it down as you go.

Guyss, Im doing my bracelets on plastic board with a clip (I think you know what I mean) and If I just tape it while making bracelet, will it be enough to keep it straight? Srry for my English too

For me a good clip works better than tape. It's also less wasteful. I just move the bracelet up in the clip. How strong is that clip? |

When I did alphas with only a few colors and base strings, it was not so hard to keep the edges straight, but now I'm making a bracelet with 19 strings and, so far, about 11 colors. I'm trying to keep a clean back (not working) and also eliminate holes between switching colors. The result has been the edges are growing wider. I've tried so hard to make sure my bracelet is secure and that I am careful with keeping the tension equal when tying each knot. I'm guessing it is because I am securing previous color strings in the knot when I change color, and also when I to secure a new color that I add. It seems like this would add width, except I am trying to secure the other strings that I carry over on the back side of base string, which means the width should not be affected. I'm not really sure why my bracelet is getting wider. If anyone has suggestions, I'd appreciate them. |

BTW, I'm using a clip board, but when I have a hard time keeping the bracelet in place, I have additionally used tape. I try not to because when I pull it off, it makes my string fuzzy, which I don't want to happen to my bracelet, but I am keeping my bracelet secure.
