I was wondering if anyone can do a challenge, or is it only for certain people? If anyone can, what is the criteria for a challenge?

Anyone can host a challenge, but everyone is only allowed to host one challenge at a time. There are two kinds of challenges: official challenges hosted by us mods and challenges hosted by users.

Here is what our FAQs say about challenges:

Challenges

What are the challenges and what are their rewards?

There are 2 kinds of challenges on BraceletBook - official challenges and community challenges. For each challenge, the user creating it picks patterns which will be included. The point is picking one of those patterns, making a bracelet, and adding a photo of it. There are no rewards for the community challenges, but for our official ones, you will get a reward which will be displayed in your profile. Remember you have to tag your photos with a 'Challenge' sign in order to receive this reward.

Where do I find the challenges?

All the challenges are taking place in our forums. We have a separate thread for them, so when you open up the forums, just click on 'Challenges' and pick any challenge you'd like to participate in.

I also had the same question when I was a beginner. 😄

Yes, you can create a challenge yourself, but you can only have one at a time. You can do whatever you like.
Here are some things your topic should include:
The name of the challenge/what it's about
The deadline (they usually do them within 2 weeks to a month)
Who can join
Rules (if you want to clarify anything else)
Prizes

Here are some tips:
Make good prizes and more people will join!
(Here are some examples of what most people do:
5 stars on x number of your patterns, likes on x number of your patterns, a shout-out in my bio, nice comments on x number of your patterns, variations on x number of your patterns. Those are good prizes that you can easily make, and if you want, you can add "I'm going to make x number of your patterns.")
Generally, most people choose three places for winners: first (a better prize), second (a good one), and third (a small prize).
Although there are also people who give prizes to everyone who participates, which is very nice!

If you're going to do multi-round challenges, here's some information and advice:

Be very organized.
And regarding prizes, you can choose from several options. Here are the most common ones:
Many people eliminate people and give them a small prize, and the last ones left receive a larger prize. Others give out small prizes in rounds without eliminating people (that is, they choose three small winners per round), and in the last round, there's a larger prize.

I hope I was helpful!

I hope it helps!
