How can I put multicolored strings into variations for patterns?

I was making a normal pattern type bracelet for my sister since I got new, multicolored strings. But, when I went to create a variation, I tried to put in multiple colors for a two color bracelet because the string I was using is this light/dark teal gradient along with a white string. When I finished the website got rid of the other colors I tried putting and only kept the the first two string colors. Can somebody please explain?

Unfortunately, I don't think there is a way to add multicolored strings into patterns. However, maybe someone more experienced would know??

You can't have one string have multiple colours in a variation, but you can add more or less colours than the original pattern in a normal pattern variation. This is not possible for alphas.What happened probably for you is that you might have forgotten to click 'save' in 'interactive normal'. If you tried to change it in 'normal', you might have forgotten to put the corresponding letters in 'colours order'. |
