What do I do with the beginning of my leading string? Whenever I cut it, the first knot just comes undone.

I usually use the straight edges technique so the beginning of the string points to the inside. This way I can leave it a tiny bit longer. I also use the flat alpha technique which helps secure the beginning of all leading strings except the first. |
