What do I do if my base strings are too short?

I’m new to making alpha bracelets! I’m having an issue currently because I’ve made my base strings too short and am unaware of how to fix this issue. I really do not want to scrap the project because I am three hours in.. any advice on how to tie extra string to increase the length??
