Is an alpha bracelet supposed to slant?

I just started making alpha bracelets, but the first 7 filler rows are slanting due to the forward and backward knots. I've watched tutorials, and somehow, all the rows they make are perfectly vertical; how do I fix this?(I've made regular bracelets with forward and backward knots before and have never had this problem; I think it might be due to alpha bracelets having to knot horizontally. I might be wrong) |

It is absolutely normal that knots in alphas slant 🙂

It’s definitely normal but you can use a ruler to push up the knots to keep them straight but they do slant slightly but it shouldn’t affect the end result! 🙃
