Hi there, I have been making bracelets and am wanting to start making keychains. Was just wondering how you know which size swivel clasp to use based on the number of strings before I go buy some that are too big/small. Thank you 😊

You can figure out how wide a keychain with a certain amount of strings will be by measuring the width of something you tied before and then using that to calculate. Based on that you can figure out the fitting size of D-ring.

From personal experience, I would shoot for purchasing rings that are in general on the larger size, so you have the freedom to do whatever width of keychain that you want. Most keychains are rather wide, but if the one you are making is thinner than average, having a slightly large ring isn't going to look weird.
