When I make a row and I move on to the next when I make knits in the next row there is some of the base string showing

You can try pushing the row of knots up with your nails or with a ruler so they are tighter up against the row above to see if that helps.

That happens to me when the string I am knotting onto isn't held taught. Not too tight either. Good luck, happy knotting! 😉

i like to use a ruler or any other straight edge to keep the rows in line 😄
