hi, all! i’m super new to bracelet making (as you can probably guess), and i was wondering what the difference between normal and alpha bracelets are. my assumption was that alphas were the more advanced patterns, but i wanted to ask to be sure. thanks! |

Alphas are just different from normals, but not more difficult. In your to-dos the only normal pattern is #151667. All the other patterns that are currently there are alphas. As you can see, alphas have a different knotting structure than normals. Alphas often depict something, while normals can be a bit more abstract. To get started with alphas, I recommend watching MashaKnots' video on the flat alpha technique: https://youtu.be/_YVFAX9sacw |

😉The term of "alpha" means "alphabet". So when we do alphas, we write on it or even create a picture with the knots that we must do. But like we told, the alpha patterns are different, they are not reading the same way. |

Alphas have base strings instead of strings you tie knots with. Alphas you tie knots horizontally instead of what you would do with normals. If you still are confused I recommend watching the flat alpha video masha knots

The alphas intimidate me so much! I struggle with changing from one color to the next. But….I just finished my first alpha ever!!
