how to get better at making alphas???

I keep trying and trying but I can’t seem to get it to look neat. Every time I make them it looks like the knots are too loose and that the bracelet is curling and coming apart.I really want to be able to make alphas but they all get ruined!!!! Please leave tips❤️❤️ |

Also when I switch colors it makes the Color I’m switching to look VERY thin, what can I do to stop this?

You can do an extra knot or even make the second know a little looser
