What is 'd=e'?

I hope this isn't too dumb of a question, but my pattern review said 'if possible, please (d=e),' but I have no clue what that means and I couldn't find anything when I googled it lol. Thanks! |

d=e is saying that string labeled "d" in the pattern is the same color as "e". At least that is what it meant for me when I got that message.
