Why does my string keep on breaking when I pull on it?

Whenever I make an alpha pattern, my string always breaks even when I pull on it lightly, and I have no idea why, is it because of the string quality? But it doesn't happen when I make normal patterns.

It might be because of the string quality, but you should also pay attention that you don't rub the strings too much against each other while making the knots

The string quality could not be great, and I recommend buying brands such as Pilleay and DMC. Also, make sure not to pull too tightly, because that's what causes strings to snap. Looser knots helps prevent base strings and leading strings snapping, and pushing the knots up with a ruler makes them neater. hope this helps! ❤️ ❤️

@stasia From now on I'll buy better string brands and use a ruler. ❤️❤️ That really helped!!!

I used to always pull on string really tightly and it would break, now I try to use it more gently and it won't break anymore

If you are using embroidery thread, you might want to use string for friendship bracelets. It has a twisted look to it and is stronger because it is twisted.

@Peanut4 My strings that I use are twisted, I think the reason they keep on breaking is because of the quality, thanks for the advice! ❤️
