How do you know how long the string has to be for a bracelet

I usually measure my strings from the tip of my left fingers to my right shoulder

@okie when I do a loop, I have found that 5 to 6 feet of string works well for most bracelets.

Normally people suggest about 1 meter but I can’t guarantee it’s the correct amount. It’s just trial and error. Although in the “hints” forum there’s a whole chat about string length
