So I’ve been making bracelets since late 2020, and I’ve been making alphas since early 2021, but every time I make an alpha the pattern comes out a lot “longer” and wider in a way. They look like the pattern has been “stretched out.” I made a paw print alpha and it didn’t really have the shape of a paw it just looked stretched and long and bad. Can anyone help?? Thanks.

they’ll naturally stretch out cuz knots aren’t exactly a square. you could make them looser and then use a ruler to push them up and make them less long.

wider might be because ur makin ur knots too tight. try loosin knot tension yuh. also ur alpha look fine to me

Alternatively you could use thicker base strings or use two strings as one base string.

Alphas can turn out wonky and stretched sometimes. I found that keeping the tension of my knots the same really helped!
