last knot of the row with flat alpha

Ok, so I’ve been making alphas for a while now, and just recently started using the flat alpha technique. It’s been going great, but on the last knot of a row where the last knot is a different color, you can see the previous color poking out on the side. I really hope that this makes sense, let me know if you need more detail, but how do I avoid that?

not using the flat alpha technique on the very edge of alphas will prevent the string from poking out on the edge/side. here are 3 videos that explain/show this:
