Hello! Do you use the straight edges and the flat alpha technique? If you do not know what I mean then you should check out Masha Knots's video on it on Youtube. Try copy pasting the link below:

At the end of every row, try pushing up all of your knots with a ruler so they straighten out a bit. If not, like suggested above, try using the straight edges technique.

yeah straight alpha keeps ur knots down. but a heads up, the more colors and like close color changes they’ll kinda be like really short hills, so cutting up the string in the back also helps.

I know what you mean!! To stop that I started to use the straight edge technique and using a ruler to help straighten them out. BUT BIG TIP I LEARNED: LOOSEN YOUR KNOTS A LITTLE (trust me)

I'm really new to alphas too and the loose knotting is a HUGE help when doing flat alpha technique. And as I'm discovering... Lots and LOTS of practice.

Yes! Try using the flat alpha technique! Just make sure that when you are using it, pull the string that is going through the knot downwards. If you don't there may be little hole were you can see the color of the string. 😊

Make sure your doing forward/backward knots on the right side, and backward/forward knots on the left!

The likely culprit is actually that you’re pinching your work. So the flat alpha technique (not to be confused with the straight edges technique) WILL help your colour changes but isn’t necessary. If you don’t want to learn a new technique to change colours then solving the issue is actually as simple as not pulling the strings so hard when they’re carrying in behind the bracelet. When you reintroduce them if you pull too hard the new knot will try to join the last knot with that string even if it was 20 knots away. This results in that colour of knots sinking lower on either side of everything in between and those other knots pushing upwards creating a bumpy, uneven surface.
