Are you aloud to use others letter patterns in your patterns, as long as you @ them?

Yes, as long as the original creator is alright with it and you are not making simple word patterns from it it should be alright.

yes you are but you should message the original creator and make sure they're ok with you using their design. you can @ them in the comments of the pattern when its accepted so that everyone knows where the font came from and that you had permission.
