You have to put @ in front of their username like for example @rachely215I recommend to copy and paste the username so you don't spell it wrong |

you have to tag them in the comment. for example @danielle_3 is mine. the person you tag gets a notification that you tagged them. if you're commenting about their pattern or replying to a forum like i am, you don't have to tag them because it is your topic that you created. so you will still see it. if you spell their name wrong lime @danielle_3 then it will cross it out and they won't see the post
