So, I have been making them for about a week or two now, and I've made like 7 but they all come out funky. Some really tight, some with holes from being too loose. Should I be hulking them together, or should i be a daisy flower with them? Any tips on how to make sure I keep that tightness the entire time? 🙈

Hi, knotting tightness is personal preference. A more consistent knotting tightness will come with more practice. 😄The tightness of a knot is determined by the placement of the first half of the knot. The second half secures it in place. Make sure you pulled the first half of your knot as tight as you want your knot to be before making the second half. I recommend not pulling super hard but mainly paying attention that you pull the first half of the knot in a way that there are no big holes before making the second half. There will always be small holes that are visible if you hold the bracelet against the light. |

Oh, wow thank you. I usually just quick it with the first half and try to go tighter with the second half. This definitely makes more sense. Again thank you ❤️

Yeah, I agree with her. I used to make mine really tight but the more you make you will start to see that you do not need to pull so tightly. I would just pull enough to make a knot and not pull further making it smaller. It makes the bracelet more flexible and less curved as well.

When I started, I made them too loose, after that, when they started making comments, I went to the extreme, I started making them as tight as possible. After that, over time, I realized that it is necessary to keep a certain balance and this is only an individual preference. So do not be afraid and do as you think it will be more convenient and beautiful! 🤪 🤪 🤪

I think that you should play around with it to see what works best for you. Some benefits of knotting loosely are that your bracelets will be more flexible and it's less likely that your strings will snap but they can have gaps in them if they're too loose. On the other hand, knotting tighter will prevent any holes but it will make your bracelets stiffer. Also, keep in mind that the tighter your knots are, the more rows you can fit in a bracelet, and the looser you knot, the fewer rows you have to include in a bracelet. I think finding a balance that works well for you is ideal but I personally prefer knotting a bit tighter. It's completely normal to have your bracelets go from being really wide to really thin or vice versa especially when you don't knot too often or are new to knotting. I would recommend trying your best to make "medium" knots at first and then experiment with tighter and looser to find your preference. : )
