okay so i have 10 base strings on this alpha and i get that you separate the strings into two and make a triangle but if i have five strings on each side how does that work, i think you need a multiple of 4 for that to work, i hope this makes sense pls help x

Hey there! You should look at Masha Knots youtube tutorial she is great and is very clear at explaining well.

@aliceboo What I do when I don't have a multiple of 4 for my strings is that I take 2 strings and act like they are one. So the the four strands (two on each side) would be basically one string when you are making the teardrop part. Then you would separate them when you start to make the actual bracelet.

I hope that makes sense.

Are you doing the triangle method for your teardrop loop where you are knotting with the base strings like you would in a normal bracelet or the one where you continue knotting in rows with the leading string?

For the first method you need to put the the base strings into two groups. With each of the groups you do a triangle end. You can do a slightly loop-sided triangles where one edge has 3 strings and the other 2. If you need to I'll try to explain this in more detail.

For the second method you also put the base strings into two groups. For the half where the leading string currently is you can use the leading string to make the triangle end. For the other half you need to add a second leading string. To make triangle ends with an uneven amount of base strings you separate the strings in two equal halves (in your case 2) and put the uneven string in the middle. In the first row you make 3 knots: one on the left half, one one the middle string and one on the right half. In the second row you make five knots (so in your case on each individual string).
