Unfortunately, I don't really know. However, I would guess that they might say the thickness of the thread in the description of the packs you're buying. If they have the same number of strands, they probably work together. Although, there's always a chance they won't. Sorry this probably doesn't help you that much

@Phoenix_17 you have to be 17 and up, be a bracelet king and contribute to the bracelet community. If you do all of this, the admin might pick you to be a moderator. I hope this helps! 🙂

@CrabHermit it really depends on what you want to do. There are triangle/shaped ends, and different types of ties. Alex Innovations on youtube has a guide for ending bracelets, and Masha Knots on youtube also has some tutorials on endings.

How do I know how long to make the strings to start a pattern?

@jdasilv3 Honestly, I'm pretty bad at determining that, and it really depends on the pattern. For alphas, I just use string right of the bobbin, but for normals, I generally cut around the length of my wingspan. If I'm making a loop at the beginning, I cut the strings the wingspan length, and then fold them in half. If I'm not making a loop, I cut them a little more than half my wingspan. I hope that helps. In a lot of Alex Innovations's and Masha Knots's videos, the give an estimation for length as well.

I would cut extra string if you are making ties but I would say if you do a loop cut at least a wingspan. If you are doing ties I would cut a little over a wingspan and then cut those strings In half @jdasilv3
