Sorry, I would of course not bind the bandana around my neck for knotting, but around my thigh above the knee. After I finished the bracelet, I tooknthe loops out.
An alternative to the safety pins could be a thin knitting needle of 2mm diameter.
Hspoy knotting, can you tag me, should you upload a pic of it?
You are absolutely right, I started with the safety pins, but I also threaded the loops alongside the length of the safety pins. The Safety Pins allowed me to attach the entire workpiece onto a bandqna, which st the time, I would bind around my neck.
Meanwhile, I have made myself a bracelet holder though, and after of course having had quite a learning curve over the oast 4 years, I would start this bracelet with 4 Triangle ends, this makes it look much neater.
And I think neatness is what you want if investing so much time in such a big work piece.
If you wete to be interested, I can send you photos and measurements of my bracelet holder I made, If you happen to have a trash e-maul-address for data protection reasons.
@Duesenberg in your photo it looks like there’s multiple safety pins at the top which you looped your larks head knots onto, as well as i think a few loop starts? did you end up keeping the safety pins in the creation or take them out? i’m imagining them used as a base to start tying, but idk if that’s how they were in the photo
I’ve been working on this pattern for about 2 days and, it’s such a beautiful pattern, but i am slowly losing my mind over it. Have definitely cried several times over this but i’m very excited to see how it turns out!
@NB6056 For my triangle ends I do a loose knot that I untie after I've done 1 or 2cm of the bracelet, but I'm sure there are other techniques that could work too 🙂
i know about triangle ends, but was confused about how to hold all those strings in place when you started knotting. triangle ends sort of arrange all the strings for you and keep them in the right order, would you use a clipboard or tape? or start with the strings in a loose knot?
@NB6056 Aya1710 didn't do any specific start. They just started in a straight line and then made four braided ties. OwO1047493 did six triangle ends (one per colour). You can find many tutorials on triangle ends on YouTube or in the tutorial section.
