@vsco-girl1 another way to tell how many base strings ANY alpha has is by looking at the number that it says for ‘strings’ and subtract one string which they add One string for the leading strings
vsco-girl1 i saw you already got the reply but whenever you start an alpha, go read the numbers written on the "Dimensions"section you find at the very top of the page. There you'll find how many strings you need and if it's still confusing, you can count the white (in this case) strings from the pattern. This tip was given by Masha Knots on YouTube so credits to her
