Fun fact for any history nerds out there: Today is the 55th anniversary of the Trident being commissioned as the official insignia for U.S. Naval Special Warfare (Navy SEALs). Originally, Tridents were made in gold for officers and silver for enlisted men, but that was quickly changed, and now gold is used for both officers and enlisted.
