@martha9999 you know that was a disingenuous interpretation of what I said and I'll be assuming you're concluding this conversation because you are unable to support your "opinions" and whether they are right or why they are appropriate to the situation. Even playing devil's advocate it's a terrible argument
@martha9999 opinions absolutely can be wrong and having a negative view of a group of people for a trait they have no control over (by definition discrimination) is not a right or valid "opinion". You also have not said anything to support that ridiculous "opinion" which again you literally agree when making a profile to post here that you won't engage in discriminatory or prejudiced behavior which explicitly mentioned sexual orientation. If you don't like queer people this is the wrong community to engage with 🤷🏻
@declan you are trying to make me tell you that my opinions are wrong and they are opinions so they by definition can't be wrong so no it's not my fault
@declan honestly you just gotta let it go! The mods never removed it, and I sat there for almost a year without anyone having a problem. No one really cared about it until you. Can't you just let it go???
@martha9999 being bigoted towards a queer person isn't "ragebait", it's just you being bigoted towards a queer person. You've tried to move the goal post away from acknowledging your behaviour or that it objectively wasn't okay to say. it's not that hard to not make bigoted comments & it doesn't matter if it was followed by a compliment of the same work you're disparaging or didn't more overtly go I have a problem with queer people being queer.
@martha9999 no, as I said you weren't being nice to the maker. complimenting their work doesn't discount that you saw it was queer content and immediately had to tell someone you weren't okay with that (which is part of the work here). Why don't you feel it's a hate comment to act like that? How are you in the right saying that? and no, its always necessary to pull up to hate speech (which yeah responding to queer content with commentary on how you don't support queer people for being queer is, I don't think you understand what hate speech is to think that isn't)
@declan I was being kind to the pattern maker, while making it clear what I think. That is not rude or mean, and the kind of comments the mods look for are rating patterns low because they are lgbtqa+ or hate comments. Mine was neither. I am not in the wrong. But when you tell me not to make "unnecessary" comments as you make one towards me, you are being hypocritical. Maybe keep it to yourself if it's not necessary?
@martha9999 the only ways to identify this was even meant to be a pride pattern because it's aimed to be discreet is that they tagged it as such and if anyone can identify the original colors are the aroace colors (you don't seem like someone that would). so even more so you didn't have to comment or give a backhanded compliment to the person's work by posting discriminatory comments (don't bother with I love them but don't support their lifestyle, it's the same thing) to someone for all made this to make it for themself or a loved one. Plenty of people here are queer (including mods), plenty of people that aren't and see a discreet pride pattern that they like will just use colors that better suit them much like any other pattern... or some people just like the colors and make it anyway. I personally love making stuff for my aroace (aromantic + asexual, no romantic or sexual attraction btw) best mate because those colors are sick. You agree to not make those kinds of comments here anyway to have an account, maybe just keep it to yourself if it's not necessary.
