@mialp26 I understand, I've never watched the show, but it is an eye catching bracelet. I think I prefer this version too, because extra fb and bf knots I added make more fun variations too.
@mialp26 Belly also seems to wear her bracelet fairly loose, It seems to fall 3-4 inches up her wrist when her arm is up. I don't know if that is because of how it is tied or the length of the bracelet, but that's up to you to decide for yourself.
@Traveler and I think I’m going to be fine making it, because i think i already made more complex bracelets than this one, since I know there are a lot of BF and FB knots which makes it a little bit trickier but not so much, since the pattern mainly is "made out of" the chevron pattern! I will post a photo as soon as I make it. Btw thanks so much for creating this pattern, when i saw it on the show i knew i wanted to find it on Braceletbook and i did!
@Traveler wow i wasn’t expecting such a comprehensive explanations, but thank you so much, it’s really helping me out! I decided to make the 14-strings version because indeed, id like my bracelet to resemble as much as possible the one belly had in the show!
@mialp26 This one has 4 knots of purple in the middle of the diamonds, the 12-strings version only has 1 knot. Looking at the promo photo, Belly's has 4 (this one) in the show. It just didn't register in my brain for some reason when I made the others that the inner diamonds had 4 knots. So this one is more screen accurate, but slightly more complicated (more FB and BF knots). The 12-strings version is easier and more straight forward, but not an exact match.
So the questions to ask yourself are: how much does screen accuracy matter to me, which do I prefer the look of, and what is my skill level/how much effort do I want to put into this bracelet?
I recommend starting at row 9 (where the red chevron starts) and ending at row 137 (ending with a red chevron) for this pattern because it will make a bracelet 128 rows long which should be long enough. And as far as I can tell, her bracelet doesn't have all the extra chevrons on the ends, I just did that for the repeat and if people needed to make it longer for the 12-strings version.
Belly's looks to have ties on both ends instead of a loop, but I'm not positive.
