MATERIALS: cardboard (about as thick as a tissue box), scissors, 1 skein of embroidery floss (to wrap around the bobbin)
STEP ONE: cut the cardboard into 1 3/4 by 2 1/2 inches.
STEP TWO: Cut the middle of the sides out as shown in the picture. This helps the string to stay on the bobbin. Make the squares as even as possible.
STEP THREE: fold the top of the bobbin down and cut out a small triangle. Put the top back up again like it was before.
STEP FOUR: Make two even slits at the bottom of the bobbin.
STEP FIVE: Take the embroidery floss and put enough through the hole so that you can make a double knot. Then wrap the string around the bobbin. when the string is almost done, put the remaining piece through the two slits. Note: the remaining string should be about an inch so you can put it through the slit without it being too small or too long.
